The MBSR – Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course is A gateway into Mindfulness practice. This 8-week course is the most researched and evidence-supported course format of its kind.
MBSR as developed at the University of Massachusetts Medical School by Prof. Jon Kabat-Zinn in 1979 – is being taught throughout the world with incredible results. One of the best-studied mindfulness courses, it has proven effects of decreasing levels of perceived stress, as well as symptoms of anxiety and depression.
Research confirms the brain begins to reshape even after eight weeks of regular MBSR practice, with visible changes in areas connected to memory, sense of self, empathy, anxiety, and stress.
The course extends over nine consecutive weeks, with a weekly 2.5-hour class and a retreat day. The syllabus encompasses all core mindfulness practices, including mindful movement, walking meditation, breath meditation, and the body scan.
Participants receive audio lessons for home practice, printed workbook and journal, and ongoing support in developing their personal mindfulness practice.
I will be offering the course in Berlin starting October 2019. Please contact me for further details.
