The MBSR – Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course is A gateway into Mindfulness practice. This 8-week course is the most researched and evidence-supported course format of its kind.
MBSR was developed at the University of Massachusetts Medical School by Prof. Jon Kabat-Zinn in 1979 – is being taught throughout the world with incredible results. One of the best-studied mindfulness courses, it has proven effects of decreasing levels of perceived stress, as well as symptoms of anxiety and depression.
The course extends over nine consecutive weeks, with a weekly 2.5-hour class and a retreat day. The syllabus encompasses all core mindfulness practices, including mindful movement, walking meditation, breath meditation, and the body scan.
Participants receive audio lessons for home practice, printed workbook and journal, and ongoing support in developing their personal mindfulness practice.
